Kenny Rogers Roasters was introduced in 1991 by the entertainer Kenny Rogers with the concept of serving home style family food base on a menu that is centered around the wood-fire rotisserie chicken. Named after the famous entertainer himself, the restaurant walls are decked with Kenny Rogers' photos, gold and platinum records.
Rotisserie is a style of roasting where meat is skewered on a spit and revolves over a flame. This method of cooking dates back to the ancient times but is experiencing renewed popularity as it seen as a healthy lifestyle option. Using the freshest chicken marinated in natural citrus, herbs and spices, Kenny Rogers famed chicken is cooked slowly over an open flame so hot that the fat drips out and the roasted flavor is sealed right in, leaving the meat moist and juicy. Available in both original and barbecue flavor, the rotisserie chicken is prepared in plain view of the customers and is served with a wide variety of side dishes. Hot off the rotisserie, the chicken is served in quarters, halves or whole. In addition, Kenny Rogers Roasters has a special lunch menu which features a range of items available only during the weekdays.
In Singapore, Kenny Rogers Roasters started its flagship store in June 1994 at Marina Square Shopping Mall, which is their first full-serviced outlet in Singapore. On its first Christmas week, the store achieved the honor of grossing the highest weekly sales figure worldwide base on the Kenny Rogers Roasters system.
